Master Bucket List

My Bucket List (1)I am a huge fan of having a bucket list. Every New Years I make one (it sounds more fun that making New Year’s Resolution List). As a person who feels the need to constantly be trying new things, this way I never run out of ideas! There’s no danger of sitting around thinking “I want to try something new this time but what?” Inevitably if I want to try a new place and having made a list, every place I’ve ever wanted to try flies out of my head.

Hence the Bucket List.

Not only do I have an extensive bucket list but I always feel the need to add to it. When I cross one thing off I inevitably add a couple more items. For any readers out there, it is exactly the same as your growing to-be-read list that seems to grow as you read instead of getting any shorter. It’s not a bad thing since you never run out of options. The only problem is deciding between all of the options.

A great problem to have.

Adventure

These are all of those activities that make your friends say something along the line of “you want to do what?” or “why in the world would you want to do that?”. Risk-taking is definitely involved with the bucket list items below. But isn’t that kind of the point of a bucket list? To get you to go places or try things that you normally wouldn’t? This section is all about broadening my horizons from activities like sky that have always been on my list to things like zorbing that I recently found and want to try.

Classes to Take

Some activities are just fun things to try on your own, like stand up paddleboarding. On the other hand there are many activities where classes are offered . Which is great if you are one of those people (like me) who are not naturally gifted with coordination or picking up new skills easily. I love trying new classes because they are a great way for those less confident people to try activities that you wouldn’t normally be comfortable trying. In all the classes I have taken, the instructors have been very welcoming to beginners. I had fun and either found a new hobby or discovered that the class that I always thought would fun was not as good as I had always thought. But at least I tried it and found out. Even when I ended up not liking the activity as much as I thought I did I never regretted taking the class.

60.Pole-Dancing
61. Scuba-diving
62. Trapeze

Skills to Learn

Some skills are better learned on your own than in a class. Since I already know how to play a few instruments and have learned Spanish, learning more instruments and languages would be more fun to do on my own. Then there are skills like self-defense that will probably be a combination of a class and my own hard work. When I think about my life and what kind of life I want it to be these skills all fit into that idea somehow which is why they have their own section.

62. Boxing
63. Self-defense
64. Shoot a Gun
65. Make a signature cocktail
66. Play Guitar
67. Play Piano

Things to Accomplish

Some things that you want to get done in your lifetime don’t seem to fit in any other category. They are kind of related to travel but not really. Nor do they seem to fit as adventure (well only some of them do), classes to take, or skills to learn. Most of them are one-time experiences I want to have from paying off my students loans to seeing a ballet. All are experiences that I want to accomplish in my lifetime whether through a class or on my own!

Travel (only Counties/States listed)

At some point this section may becomes its own list. I’ve recently discovered how much I enjoy traveling and have a lot of places I want to see! Instead of listing cities and attractions that I want to see in each place (which would make a long list excessively long) I only have countries (and states within the U.S.) where I want to travel. Keep your eye out for posts and other pages that have to do with more details 🙂
